Hartmann Welcomes Opponent In Race For Commissioner

CINCINNATI --- Hamilton County Clerk of Courts Greg Hartmann today welcomed certified candidate, Crosby Township Trustee Chris Dole, into the race for Hamilton County Commissioner. The Hamilton County Board of Elections announced that Dole had collected enough signatures to be included on the ballot this November as an Independent candidate.

β€œIt's good to know that voters will have a clear decision to make about the future of Hamilton County and I welcome my opponent into the race. This is a great opportunity for voters to learn about my plans for progress and investment in our County and why I'm best qualified for the job,” said Hartmann.

Hartmann has served for five years as Hamilton County Clerk of Courts, overseeing $130 million in operations and managing 300 employees. Fiscal responsibility has been a top priority of his administration. His office has returned $1.3 million to taxpayers and has come in under budget every year since he has been in office.

As Clerk of Courts, Hartmann has earned a national reputation for modernizing the office and making it more accountable to taxpayers. Hartmann's commitment to technological advancement and efficiency has transformed the way customers do business with the office, has generated additional cost savings and led to the creation of an instant notification program that provides daily background checks on Hamilton County foster parents.

Hartmann is a former assistant county prosecutor and has managed a business in the private sector. He believes voters will make a decision this November to support a candidate with demonstrated experience and a plan to move Hamilton County forward.

β€œI will earn the support of our voters based upon my record of leadership in the County and my plans for our future. I look forward to the campaign ahead and a thoughtful debate about the future of our great County,” said Hartmann.
